Ian Carter – Managing Director
Ian Carter started out as an agency planner / buyer with TMP, working with many of the UK’s most successful organisations. In ad sales since ’92, as an Ad Manager on Business and Consumer titles, Ian was MD of McMillan-Scott / Ten Alps from 2002-2009, during which period he transformed the business into a successful multimedia publishing agency. He has a Masters in Strategic Business Management (Westminster) and a Postgrad Diploma in Management Studies (Greenwich).
Likes: Vinyl, snowboarding, cycling, having fun with his kids, trying to be hip.
Dislikes: Ladders, earwigs and cucumber sandwiches.

Tim Porter – Commercial Director
Tim has over two decades experience driving growth across print, digital and events revenues in a broad range of industries including agriculture, healthcare, HR, construction and communications. In his role as Head of Sales at RELX Group, Tim took full commercial responsibility for brands including Farmers Weekly, Optician and Hairdressers Journal.
In a world full of complex language and even more complex sales strategy, Tim believes in a no-nonsense approach to driving sales performance. His pragmatic approach to selling delivers great results for both our customers and clients alike.
Likes: Catfish angling, Chelsea FC, Japanese cars and Rick Springfield
Dislikes: Morris Men, bananas, moths and hip hop

Jane King – Head of Content
Jane has led comms strategy within some of the UK’s leading professional groups, as well as being an award-winning Editor and experienced board member.
Jane’s expertise ensures our content strategy delivers maximum value and engagement to our clients.
Likes: Disco/Motown, Greek islands, Tacky Korean dramas, Being a grandma, Wine gums, Yamas
Dislikes: Husband dressing badly, Spiders, Intolerance

Kim Spiers – Accounts Manager
Kim is our Accounts Manager with extensive experience gained in Accountancy practice and the Events industry. Kim enjoys a good book, the countryside and a good gig.
Likes: Cuddles with her grand-dog Franco, holidays with the hubby, going to gigs.
Dislikes: Peas (the Devil’s food and root of all evil), Chelsea FC, Rude People.

ALisa Simpson – Production Exec
Lisa has many years’ publishing expertise, gained in design, online and production control. Lisa keeps our web site content, reader and member data and e-news reach and impact fresh and appealing. Lisa uses her strong eye for detail and content to produce fantastic content marketing, e-news, audience acquisition and promotional campaigns.
Likes: Arts & crafts, theatre, travelling
Dislikes: Maggots, flies, peas, rude people & people who don’t indicate at roundabouts, shellfish

Beverley Carter – Account Director
Bev’s experience derives from account management on the agency side from Hoggett Bowers, Brunnings, TMP and Kingsway Advertising. A graduate of Guildhall and Canterbury, Bev brings creative flair and a strategic approach to consumer, women’s interest and arts titles to the benefit of our clients.
Likes: Ottolenghi, irises, things equine, a good beach
Dislikes: Umbrellas, buses

Charlotte Dyason – Account Manager
Charlotte is an experienced and consistently high achiever in the Media Shed team, also the social secretary and chief Christmas organiser. Charlotte graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University after studying in film, radio and television (specialising in radio) and has built a successful track record on all of her projects down the years.
Likes: Travelling, Disney, comics, Harry Potter and Queen.
Dislikes: Cold weather, olives and rude people.

Andrew Clark – Digital Lead
Andrew understands users, design and digital – combining the essential requisites into one fantastic online experience.
We works collaboratively with the in-house teams and existing suppliers, and builds principled, effective partnerships with ease.
Andrew oversees our projects from concept to delivery, ensuring a highly-crafted end product.
Likes: Mountains, Italian food and Chelsea FC.
Dislikes: Traffic jams & queuing generally!

Becci Knowles – Editor
Becci is a Uni Kent graduate of English with extensive experience gained in b2b and education titles. Supremely organised and skilled across all channels including events, Becci leads in the in-house content delivery.
Likes: Curry, 90’s indies music, theatre, modern American literature
Dislikes: Running, Shellfish

Aviva Attias – Editor
A highly experienced Editor and graduate of the Uni of B’ham, Aviva has overseen some the UK’s leading healthcare and professional titles. An eye for organisational strategy and keen attention to detail ensures Aviva’s titles are of the highest quality and standing.
Likes: Swimming in the sea, discovering new places, live music, brunch with loved ones
Dislikes: Muddy fields, cheesy entertainment, grey skies, coriander

Ian MacMillan – Editor
Mac is a highly experienced Editor in the healthcare and wellbeing sector, having worked at RCN, The Guardian, CSP and other leading publishers. A qualified psychiatric nurse, Mac has the rare combined talents of creativity and attention to detail, which he utilises to publish unique and engaging articles.

Ciara Cook – Account Exec
Ciara is a comms specialist, having graduated in French and Spanish from Uni of Warwick. Ciara has a keen eye for detail and extremely positive outlook that flows through her work.
